About MFTC

MFTC conducts firefighter testing for employment with any of the departments belonging to the Consortium. Departments that are members of the MFTC are Big Sky Fire Department, Billings Fire Department, Bozeman Fire Department, Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department, Central Valley (Belgrade area) Fire District, Frenchtown Rural Fire District, Kalispell Fire Department, Great Falls Fire Department, Havre Fire Department, Helena Fire Department, Lockwood Fire District, Miles City Fire Department, Missoula Fire Department, and Missoula Rural Fire District.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Montana Code 7-33-4107. Qualifications of firefighters and 7-33-1902. Qualifications of Paid Firefighters – Tobacco Use.  Other minimum requirements may be required by the individual agencies. Must be 18 years of age or older at time of testing.
