CPAT Orientation (December 30th, 2024 from 1pm – 5pm)

The CPAT Orientation on December 30th, will take place at Lockwood Fire District at 501 Johnson Lane, Billings MT 59101. It will be located in the building directly behind the fire station, parking is located on the North side of the fire station. The deadline to register for this orientation is December 26th, 2024.

The physical ability test administered by the Montana Firefighter Testing Consortium is the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF)/International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Candidate Physical Ability Test© (CPAT).

During orientation, candidates receive hands on familiarity with the actual CPAT equipment. In addition, CPAT-trained fire fighters (proctors) familiarize all candidates with each event and equipment, and provide the candidates with recommendations to better prepare for the CPAT.
